Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

Rinse the shrimp, calamari strips, and scallops under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Seafood

In a bowl, season the seafood with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Breading Setup

  1. 3

    Prepare the Breading Stations

In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.

Breading the Seafood

  1. 4

    Coat the Seafood

Take each piece of seafood, first dredge in the flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is thoroughly coated.

Frying

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Seafood

Carefully place the breaded shrimp, calamari strips, and scallops in the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. 7

    Drain Excess Oil

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried seafood from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Hot

Arrange the fried shrimp, calamari, and scallops on a serving platter. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
