Method
Iced Tea Preparation
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- 2
Brew Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the loose black tea leaves or tea bags. Let the tea steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want it.
- 3
Cool the Tea
After steeping, remove the tea leaves or bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature. You can speed this up by placing it in the refrigerator.
- 4
Add Sweetener (Optional)
If desired, add sweetener to the cooled tea and stir until dissolved.
- 5
Lemonade Preparation
- 6
Juice Lemons
Roll the fresh lemons on a countertop to soften them, then cut them in half and juice them to extract the liquid.
- 7
Mix Lemonade Base
In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, 3 cups of water, and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 8
Chill
Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow it to chill.
- 9
Creating the Arnold Palmer
- 10
Mix the Beverages
In a large glass, combine equal parts of the prepared iced tea and lemonade (about 1/2 cup of each).
- 11
Taste and Adjust
Taste the Arnold Palmer and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sweetener to your liking.
- 12
Serve
Serve immediately over ice with extra lemon slices if desired.
