Pizza Dough

Method

Pizza Dough

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add activated yeast and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

White Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. 5

    Make Roux

Add flour to melted butter, whisking continuously for about 2 minutes until golden.

  3. 6

    Add Milk

Gradually whisk in milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until thickened, around 5 minutes, and remove from heat.

Assembling the Pizza

  1. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 8

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 9

    Add Sauce

Spread the white sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough.

  4. 10

    Layer Ingredients

Top the pizza with thinly sliced Piedmontese steak, roasted garlic, sliced mushrooms, and shredded cheeses (smoked gouda, mozzarella, provolone).

  5. 11

    Add Vegetables

Add thinly sliced red onions and crispy potato strings on top.

  6. 12

    Bake Pizza

Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

  7. 13

    Garnish

Remove from oven and drizzle with sriracha aioli. Sprinkle with chopped chives before serving.
