Method
Pizza Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Topping Preparation
- 5
Cook Bacon
In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then crumble into pieces.
- 6
Prepare Asparagus
While the bacon cooks, trim the asparagus and cut it into 1-inch pieces. Blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until bright green, then immediately transfer to ice water.
- 7
Prepare Chives
Finely chop the chives and set aside.
