Warm Green Chickpeas

Method

Warm Green Chickpeas

  1. 1

    Prep the Chickpeas

In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Add the green chickpeas and boil for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Chickpeas

In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the boiled chickpeas to the pot, along with cumin, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Crab Cakes

  1. 4

    Mix Crab Cake Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, old bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.

  2. 5

    Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate.

  3. 6

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
