Method

Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Beat Eggs

In another bowl, beat the eggs until they are light and frothy. Add the whole milk and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool the Cake

Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Milk Mixture Preparation

  1. 7

    Combine Milks

In a bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk until smooth.

  2. 8

    Soak the Cake

Once the cake is completely cool, poke holes all over the top with a fork or skewer. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.

  3. 9

    Chill the Cake

Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to absorb the milk.

Topping Preparation

  1. 10

    Prepare the Whipped Cream

In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

  2. 11

    Frost the Cake

Spread the whipped cream evenly over the top of the soaked cake.

  3. 12

    Garnish

Sprinkle cinnamon on top for garnish before serving.
