Fried Oyster Slider Ingredients

Method

Fried Oyster Slider Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the oysters

Rinse the oysters under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the batter

In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.

  3. 3

    Batter the oysters

Dip each oyster first in the egg mixture and then coat it in the flour mixture, ensuring it's fully covered.

  4. 4

    Fry the oysters

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the oysters in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Assemble the sliders

Cut the slider buns in half. Place a lettuce leaf, a fried oyster, a slice of tomato, and a dollop of tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the sliders immediately while hot, and enjoy!
