Ingredients for Chicken Fried Pork Chop
Method
Directions for Chicken Fried Pork Chop
- 1
Prepare the Pork Chops
In a bowl, soak the pork chops in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator for extra tenderness.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Dredge the Pork Chops
Remove the pork chops from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each chop in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure coating sticks. Set aside.
- 4
Fry the Pork Chops
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.
- 5
Make the Gravy
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add a tbs of flour to the remaining oil. Stir and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the crispy pork chops with homemade gravy drizzled on top.
