Method
Prepare the Rice

Rinse Rice
Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

Soak Rice
Soak the rinsed rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Steam Rice
Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer lined with cheesecloth. Steam over simmering water for about 30-40 minutes until the rice is tender.
Make Coconut Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Do not bring to a boil.

Reserve Sauce
Once the sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and set aside about 1/4 cup of the coconut sauce for serving.
Prepare Mango

Slice Mango
Peel the ripe mangoes and slice them into thin wedges.
Assemble and Serve

Mix Rice with Sauce
In a mixing bowl, combine the steamed rice with the remaining coconut sauce. Mix well to coat the rice in the sauce.

Plate and Garnish
To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, top with mango slices, and drizzle with the reserved coconut sauce. Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped mint leaves.
