Lemon Butter Sauce Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and rinse under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Salmon

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

  2. 4

    Cook the Asparagus

In the same skillet, add the asparagus. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender but still crisp. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 5

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter and let it melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. Cook for another minute, then remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On each plate, place the sautéed asparagus and top with the pan-seared salmon. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon. Serve immediately.
