Method
Preparing the Sweet Potatoes
- 1
Roast the Sweet Potatoes
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel and cube the sweet potatoes into 1-inch pieces. Toss them in 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly caramelized, stirring halfway through.
Cooking the Brussels Sprouts
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
While the sweet potatoes are roasting, trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Toss them in 1 tablespoon of olive oil, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Add the Brussels sprouts to the baking sheet with the sweet potatoes during the last 15 minutes of roasting, ensuring they are spread out evenly.
Cooking the Steak
- 4
Prepare the Steak
Remove the hanger steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 5
Cook the Steak
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the hanger steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

On a serving plate, place a generous scoop of roasted sweet potatoes, top with the Brussels sprouts, and arrange the sliced hanger steak on the side. Drizzle the onion soubise over the steak and garnish with crumbled feta cheese.
