Salad Base

Citrus Apricot Dill Dressing

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash the iceberg lettuce under cold water. Pat it dry with a clean towel. Cut the head into quarters, creating wedges, and place them on a serving platter.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cherry Tomatoes

Rinse the cherry tomatoes under cold water. Slice them in half and set aside.

  4. 4

    Add Blue Cheese

Crumble the blue cheese into small pieces and set aside for topping the salad.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Dressing

In a small bowl, combine apricot preserves, fresh dill, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Top the Salad

Drizzle the prepared citrus apricot dill dressing over the iceberg lettuce wedges. Top with the halved cherry tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and blue cheese.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately as a refreshing side salad or appetizer.
