Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

  2. 4

    Preheat Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

  3. 5

    Cook Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

  4. 6

    Keep Warm

Transfer cooked pancakes to a plate and keep warm in a low oven while you cook the remaining pancakes.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Serve warm pancakes drizzled with maple syrup and topped with fresh berries if desired.
