Burger Patty Preparation

Prepare the Patty Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

Bake the Fries
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
