Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them, and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with cheese, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 7

    Season the Fries

In a bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 8

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve the Dish

Serve the assembled burgers with a side of freshly baked fries. Enjoy your Midtown Burger!
