Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove any excess moisture as this will help to achieve a crispy skin when frying.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, pour in the vegetable oil and heat it over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the temperature by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; it should sizzle and turn golden brown.

  2. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the seasoned chicken wings to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry them for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  3. 5

    Make the Buffalo Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the hot sauce and unsalted butter. Stir until the butter has melted and the sauce is well mixed. Remove from heat.

  4. 6

    Coat the Wings

In a large mixing bowl, toss the fried wings with the buffalo sauce until they are evenly coated.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Wings

Arrange the buffalo wings on a serving platter.

  2. 8

    Add Celery and Dressing

Serve the wings with celery sticks on the side and offer both ranch and blue cheese dressing for dipping.
