Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burgers

In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked gouda on each patty, cover the skillet, and let it melt.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese melts, split the brioche buns and toast them in another pan or on a grill until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place the burger patty with melted cheese on top, followed by crispy bacon and fried onions. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious ground beef burger!
