Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoncini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and black pepper.

Add Balsamic Vinegar
Stir in the balsamic vinegar and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked rigatoncini to the skillet and toss to combine with the beef ragu. If necessary, adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper.

Plate the beef rigatoncini and sprinkle generously with grated Asiago cheese and chopped fresh basil before serving.
