Roasted Mixed Chile Peppers

Chipotle Oil Drizzle

Method

Roasted Mixed Chile Peppers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peppers

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash the bell peppers, poblano peppers, Hatch green chiles, and jalapeño peppers. Cut them in half, remove seeds, and place them on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Roasting the Peppers

Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt over the peppers. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until the skin is blistered and charred. Remove from oven and let cool.

Habanero Crema

  1. 3

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the sour cream, finely chopped habanero peppers, lime juice, and garlic powder. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 4

    Chill the Crema

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the habanero crema for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Chipotle Oil Drizzle

  1. 5

    Prepare Chipotle Oil

In a small bowl, combine the chipotle peppers in adobo sauce with olive oil. Blend until smooth using a hand blender or regular blender.

  2. 6

    Set Aside

Set the chipotle oil drizzle aside until ready to serve.

Jalapeño Dust

  1. 7

    Mix Jalapeño Dust

In a small bowl, mix the dried jalapeño flakes, smoked paprika, and salt. This will be your jalapeño dust.

  2. 8

    Set Aside

Keep the jalapeño dust aside until serving.
