Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine the flank steak with olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the steak evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.

  2. 2

    Slice the Vegetables

While the steak is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated flank steak. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin strips.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Serve and Enjoy

Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave. To serve, place some sliced steak and sautéed vegetables on a tortilla, fold it up, and enjoy your sizzling steak fajitas!
