Method

For the Chocolate Volcano Cake

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 5

    Pour Batter into Bundt Pan

Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Carefully pour the hot fudge sauce over the batter, then cover with the remaining batter.

  6. 6

    Bake the Cake

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake (not the fudge) comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool the Cake

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

For Serving

  1. 8

    Serve the Cake

Slice the cooled chocolate volcano cake and serve each slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

  2. 9

    Drizzle with Strawberry Syrup

Drizzle strawberry syrup over the ice cream and cake before serving.
