Method

Cooking Chicken Wings

1

Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This will help the skin crisp up during cooking.

2

Season the Wings

In a bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the chicken wings evenly.

3

Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil is at the right temperature.

4

Fry the Wings

Carefully place the seasoned chicken wings in the hot oil, frying them in batches if necessary. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

5

Coat with Hot Sauce

Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. In a large bowl, toss the hot wings with hot sauce until they are evenly coated.

Making Ranch Dressing

6

Combine the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

7

Mix Until Smooth

Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

8

Chill the Dressing

Cover the ranch dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
