Method

For the Chicken Fingers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading Station

Set up three bowls: one with flour mixed with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder; one with beaten eggs; and one with bread crumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally coat with bread crumbs. Ensure each strip is evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

In a deep skillet or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken strips in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

For the Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

In a separate pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for about 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
