Fried Chicken Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Fried Chicken Sandwich Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coat. Fry the chicken pieces in the hot oil for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  4. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Drain on a paper towel.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each burger bun, spread honey mustard. Place a fried chicken piece on top, followed by a slice of provel cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the sandwiches warm, and enjoy your big boy fried chicken sandwich!
