Prepare the Coffee

Brew the Espresso
Brew 240 ml of strong espresso coffee and let it cool. If desired, mix in 60 ml of coffee liqueur.
Make the Mascarpone Mixture

Whisk the Egg Yolks
In the bowl with the egg yolks, add 100 g of granulated sugar and whisk until the mixture is pale and creamy.

Add Mascarpone and Vanilla
Add 500 g of mascarpone cheese and 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture and mix until smooth.

Assemble the Tiramisu

Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the cooled espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

Repeat the Layers
Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
Chill and Serve

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Garnish and Serve
Before serving, dust the top with 30 g of cocoa powder and add dark chocolate shavings if desired.
