Cocktail Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Fruits

Start by juicing the fresh oranges and grapefruits. You will need enough to yield 1 oz of juice from each fruit. If you don't have a juicer, you can manually squeeze the juices into a measuring cup.

  2. 2

    Mixing Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of gin, 1 oz of Campari, 1 oz of fresh orange juice, and 1 oz of fresh grapefruit juice. Make sure to measure each ingredient accurately for the best flavor.

  3. 3

    Adding Ice

Fill the shaker with ice cubes until it's about 2/3 full. This helps chill the cocktail and dilute it slightly as you shake.

  4. 4

    Shaking the Cocktail

Secure the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. You want to ensure that the ingredients are well combined and chilled.

  5. 5

    Straining into Glass

Using a cocktail strainer, pour the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Ensure that no ice gets in the glass.

  6. 6

    Garnishing

Garnish the drink with a fresh orange slice and a grapefruit slice on the rim of the glass for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
