Egg Custard Mixture

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Custard

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sugar until well combined and smooth.

  2. 2

    Soak the Brioche

Place the slices of brioche bread into the egg custard mixture, allowing them to soak for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are well coated.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can add a small amount of butter to the pan for extra flavor.

  2. 4

    Cook the French Toast

Once the skillet is hot, place the soaked brioche slices onto the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Serve

Remove the cooked French toast from the skillet and place it on a plate. Top with seasonal fruit, drizzle with maple syrup, and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm.
