Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, warm the milk and melt the unsalted butter. Allow to cool slightly before adding in the eggs and the activated yeast mixture.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  5. 5

    Knead Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  6. 6

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Shaping and Baking

  1. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 8

    Shape the Dough

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball.

  3. 9

    Second Rise

Place the dough balls on a greased baking sheet and cover with a cloth. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  4. 10

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  5. 11

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the rolls cool on a wire rack.

Glazing

  1. 12

    Prepare Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to achieve a smooth, pourable consistency.

  2. 13

    Glaze the Rolls

Once the rolls have cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top of each roll.
