Method

Preparation of Salad Base

  1. 1

    Prepare the Iceberg Lettuce

Remove any outer leaves from the iceberg lettuce. Cut the head of lettuce into quarters, creating wedge shapes. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tomato

Wash the tomato thoroughly. Cut it into wedges or slices, depending on your preference, and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet, place on paper towels to drain excess grease, and chop into small pieces.

  4. 4

    Chop the Chives

Using kitchen scissors or a knife, chop the chives into small pieces and set aside for garnish.

Preparation of Dressing

  1. 5

    Mix the Dressing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, bleu cheese crumbles, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary. You may add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice according to your preference.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Wedge Salad

On a plate, place a wedge of iceberg lettuce. Top with tomato wedges, chopped bacon, and drizzle with the bleu cheese dressing. Sprinkle chopped chives over the top for garnish.
