Combine Base Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Add Vanilla Extract
Stir in the pure vanilla extract to the mixture. This will be the base for your vanilla ice cream.
Flavoring (Choose One)

For Chocolate Ice Cream
Sift in the cocoa powder into the base mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.

For Strawberry Ice Cream
Blend the fresh strawberries in a blender until smooth and then fold the strawberry puree into the base mixture.
Chill and Process

Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.

Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically for about 20-25 minutes.
Freeze

Transfer to Container
Once churned, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container.

Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours or until it reaches your desired firmness.
