Bread Preparation

Slice the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch thick pieces.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and set aside.

Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and chop them into small pieces.

Chop the Basil
Rinse the fresh basil leaves and chop them roughly.

Combine Topping Ingredients
In a bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, chopped basil, mozzarella (cut into small cubes), balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine.

Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each piece of toasted bread.

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm and crispy.
