Measure Amaro Averna
Using a jigger, measure out 2 oz of Amaro Averna and pour it into a chilled rocks glass.

Prepare the Garnish
Using a vegetable peeler or a knife, cut a piece of orange peel, ensuring you get some of the zest but not too much of the bitter white pith.

Garnish the Drink
Twist the orange peel over the drink to release its essential oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
