Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time based on desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Steak Butter

During the last minute of cooking, add steak butter on top of the steak to melt.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return to the pot. Add butter and heavy cream. Mash until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 6

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add asparagus, carrots, and bell pepper. Cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Plating

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

On a plate, serve the sliced ribeye steak topped with melted steak butter, a generous serving of mashed potatoes, and sautéed seasonal vegetables on the side.
