Crab Cakes

Method

Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onion, beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Cakes

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Set aside.

Tartar Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, lemon juice, chopped capers, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and refrigerate until ready to use.

Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  2. 6

    Bake the Fries

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

On each burger bun, layer leafy greens, a crab cake patty, sliced tomato, and a generous dollop of tartar sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
