Beer Battered Fish

Prepare the Batter
In a bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in beer until smooth. Let the batter rest for about 15 minutes.

Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Fish
Dredge cod fillets in the batter and carefully lower into hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
House Made Tartar Sauce

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, dill pickles, capers, lemon juice, and dill. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.
Cole Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and grated carrot. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and toss to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
