Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, cumin, and paprika. Add the fish fillets and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Slaw

Shred the red cabbage and mix it in a bowl. You can add a bit of lime juice and salt to taste for extra flavor if desired.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Avocado Puree

In a blender, combine the ripe avocados with a pinch of salt and blend until smooth. Add a little lime juice for a fresh flavor.

  4. 4

Make the Green Chili Sour Cream

Chop the green chilies finely and mix them into the sour cream. Add salt to taste.

  5. 5

    Fry the Fish

Heat oil in a deep pan. Remove the fish from the marinade, dredge in flour, and fry in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

Warm the corn tortillas on a skillet. Place pieces of fried fish onto each tortilla, top with red cabbage slaw, pineapple chunks, avocado puree, and green chili sour cream.
