Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Flank Steak

In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.

  2. 2

    Add Steak to Marinade

Place the flank steak in the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F).

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Remove the flank steak from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (medium-rare is about 130°F).

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.

Serving

  1. 6

    Slice and Serve

Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve topped with sliced radishes, chopped cilantro, and lime wedges on the side.
