Method

Prepare the Salad

  1. 1

    Wash and Chop Romaine

Wash the romaine lettuce under cold running water to remove any dirt. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner. Chop the romaine into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

Make the Caesar Dressing

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic (press or finely chop), lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Prepare Croutons

  1. 3

    Make Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 4

    Combine and Serve

In the bowl with chopped romaine, add the Caesar dressing and toss until the lettuce is evenly coated. Top with croutons and shaved Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
