Cowboy Cut Bone-In Ribeye Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

Make the Espresso Long Pepper Crust

In a small bowl, mix together the espresso powder, ground long pepper, kosher salt, and chopped rosemary.

  3. 3

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil on both sides. Then, generously coat the steak with the espresso long pepper mixture, pressing it into the meat.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steak

Preheat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steak and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Garlic and Butter

In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and butter to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter over the steak while it finishes cooking.

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Remove the ribeye from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your choice of sides.
