Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit Puree

In a blender or food processor, combine the chosen fruit and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds if necessary.

  2. 2

    Make the Sugar Syrup

In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the fruit puree, cooled sugar syrup, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.

  5. 5

    Freeze the Sorbet

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
