Chocolate Molten Soufflé

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chocolate Mixture

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Stir until smooth and combined.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar together until light and frothy. Add the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract, and mix until combined. Gently fold in the flour and a pinch of salt until just combined.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Ramekins

Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with sugar. This helps the soufflés rise and prevents them from sticking.

  4. 4

    Fill and Bake

Divide the chocolate mixture evenly among the prepared ramekins. Place them on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Invert onto a plate and serve immediately, preferably with Crème Anglaise.
