Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Leeks

Slice the leeks thinly and rinse them under cold water to remove any dirt. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the leeks, and sauté until they are caramelized, about 10-12 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Venison

In a separate pan, cook the ground venison over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked venison, caramelized leeks, white sauce, ricotta, and fresh herbs. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

In a baking dish, spread the venison and leek mixture evenly. Top with shredded mozzarella and smoked gouda cheese.

  5. 5

    Bake

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the dish for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from oven, drizzle with blueberry-balsamic drizzle, and serve warm.
