Fried Haddock Tacos
Method
Preparation and Assembly
- 1
Prepare the Haddock
In a shallow dish, combine flour, cornmeal, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. In another dish, whisk together the eggs and milk. Dip each haddock fillet into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture until well coated.
- 2
Fry the Haddock
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated haddock fillets. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Warm the Tortillas
In another skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
- 4
Assemble the Tacos
Place a piece of fried haddock on each tortilla. Top with house slaw and drizzle with lemon-dill sauce before serving.
