Method

Prepare Shrimp

    Boil the Shrimp

    In a large pot, combine 4 cups of water, lemon slices, Old Bay seasoning, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Once the water is boiling, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

    Cool the Shrimp

    Remove the pot from heat and drain the shrimp. Transfer the shrimp to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

Prepare Cocktail Sauce

    Mix Ingredients

    In a bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to mix.

    Adjust Flavor

    Taste the cocktail sauce and add hot sauce to your desired level of spiciness.

Serve

    Plate the Shrimp

    Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter or individual bowls.

    Serve with Sauce

    Serve the shrimp with the prepared cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
