Method

Turkey

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Turkey

Rub the turkey breast with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.

  3. 3

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F). Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

Stuffing

  1. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine sautéed vegetables with bread cubes, chicken broth, and sage. Mix well and transfer to a greased baking dish.

  3. 6

    Bake the Stuffing

Bake stuffing in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Green Beans

  1. 9

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them under cold water.

  2. 10

    Cook the Green Beans

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and toss with butter, salt, and pepper.

Gravy

  1. 11

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, combine turkey drippings and flour over medium heat. Whisk continuously until smooth, then slowly add chicken broth, stirring until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Cranberry Sauce

  1. 12

    Cook the Cranberries

In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
