Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties that are about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Toasting the Bun

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the hamburger buns cut side down in the skillet and toast until golden brown.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty, sliced tomato, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
