Cheese Mixture
Toasted Pita and Chips
Method
Cheese Mixture Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Habanero Pepper
Wearing gloves, carefully chop the habanero pepper into small pieces, removing the seeds for less heat if desired.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, chopped habanero, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Add Milk
Slowly add the milk to the cheese mixture, stirring continuously until the cheeses are melted and the dip is smooth. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Toasted Pita and Chips Preparation
- 4
Prepare Pita Bread
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the pita bread into triangles and place them on a baking sheet.
- 5
Add Olive Oil
Drizzle the olive oil over the pita triangles, making sure they are evenly coated.
- 6
Toast Pita Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the pita chips are golden and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
