Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Season the Beef

In a bowl, season the 8 oz Angus beef patty with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper. Make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patty

Form the seasoned beef into a round patty, making sure it's slightly larger than the brioche bun, as it will shrink while cooking.

Cooking the Burger Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the patty on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patty and cook for another 3-4 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bun

While the patty is cooking, slice the brioche bun in half. You can toast the bun on the grill or in a toaster for extra flavor.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the brioche bun, place the lettuce leaf. Then, add the cooked patty with melted cheddar cheese on top. Add a slice of tomato on top of the cheese and finish with the top half of the brioche bun.

Serving

  1. 7

    Choose Your Side

Serve your cheddar burger with a side of fries or onion rings, as per your choice.

  2. 8
