Method

Prepare Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

  3. 3

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Cook Patties

Cook the patties on the grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Prepare Onion Rings

  1. 5

    Slice Onion

Peel and slice the onion into thick rings.

  2. 6

    Make Batter

In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add cold water, mixing until a smooth batter forms.

  3. 7

    Heat Oil

In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat for frying.

  4. 8

    Fry Onion Rings

Dip onion rings into the batter, then carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assemble Burgers

  1. 9

    Toast Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 10

    Add Lettuce and Tomato

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a slice of tomato.

  3. 11

    Add Patty and Cheese

Place the cooked burger patty on top of the tomato, and add a slice of cheese on each patty.

  4. 12

    Add BBQ Sauce

Drizzle BBQ sauce over the cheese and patty.

  5. 13

    Top with Onion Rings

Finally, place a few fried onion rings on top of the BBQ sauce.

  6. 14

    Complete the Burger

Cover with the top half of the bun. Your BBQ burger is ready to serve!
