Preparing the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Rinse the whole chicken under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Chicken
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin for maximum flavor.

Prepare the Smoker
Soak the wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- 4
Smoke the Chicken
Place the soaked wood chips in the smoker box. Put the chicken on the smoker rack and close the lid. Smoke for about 4 to 5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Preparing the Sides

Prepare the Green Beans
Trim the ends off the green beans and rinse them under cold water. Boil in salted water for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.
