Preparing the Batter

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cooking the Pancakes

Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter if necessary.

Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the heated skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.

Flip the Pancakes
Carefully flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side until golden brown.

Continue with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as necessary.

Stack the pancakes on a plate. Top with butter and drizzle with maple syrup to taste.
